Advent, from the Latin for “arrival,” is the liturgical season leading up to Christmas. These 4 weeks mark the beginning of the church calendar and are a time to reflect on Jesus’ first coming as a baby and His anticipated second coming in power. In this series, we will reflect on the deep meaning of Advent’s four themes: Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love. Each week invites us to slow down, lift our eyes from the distractions of the season, and prepare room in our hearts to celebrate God’s great gift!
