The Greek word “adelphoi” is translated “brothers and sisters.” It points to the core idea that Jesus came to help us understand that God desires to be in a relationship with us as our Heavenly Father. People with the same Father are siblings, so we are all brothers and sisters in Christ. It was this idea that allowed the early church to cut through cultural status differences to form the Body of Christ. Today we need to remember what it means that we have “Brothers & Sisters.”
